Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to common questions.

Who can refer someone to Thrive Work Rehab?

Employers, insurers, case managers, doctors, solicitors and other authorised parties can refer. Workers can also contact us directly to ask what support is available.

What happens after I get in touch?

We confirm the details, speak with the relevant people and arrange an initial assessment. From there we agree on goals and a plan.

What is a return-to-work plan?

A written plan covering suitable duties, hours, restrictions, workplace adjustments and review dates, with responsibilities for the worker, the employer and others. It is updated as capacity changes.

What is a functional capacity evaluation?

An objective assessment of what a person can safely do, such as lifting, carrying, movement and endurance, compared with the demands of the job.

Do you work outside NSW?

Yes. We are based in Wentworthville, NSW, and support clients across Australia, including by phone and video where suitable. Rules differ between states and territories, so we confirm what applies in each case.

Do you provide workers compensation medical consultations?

Yes, where clinically suitable. This can include certificates of capacity. Availability depends on the clinical situation and the rules of the relevant scheme.

How do I make a referral?

Email [email protected] with who you are, how to contact you and the reference number if you have one. Please do not include medical details in your first email.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the service and who is funding it. Contact us and we will explain the options before we start.
